Countrywide contacted me about trying their magazines. The man on the phone mislead me into a "verbal contract" to which there is no termination and it last 4 years!!! I agreed to a welcome package, that I never received, along with a sweepstakes, and paperwork for the magazines I could choose and a new watch. I never saw any paperwork, the magazines just started coming randomly, and my account was immediately charged 33.20. They say I am bound by contract, and have to pay the rest of my membership. At the most, I was willing to compromise on a early termination fee, but it doesn't exist! The company is scamming customers out of their money!

  • Seeking Resolution: Other
  • I would like my "membership/account" canceled and I think in addition to a new code of ethics and clarity within its marketing, a cancellation, at most an early termination fee, should be in place. Otherwise, this is bad business!!!
