Complaint 2054 Details

Visited their auction website, saw their free registration. I began the registration and after giving name adress etc, I was asked for a credit card #. I understand with an auction site they would need this info to charge purchases. I did not purchase anything. After a short while of playing around and realizing it was absolutely pointless, I decided to close my account. When I tried to close the account it said they had billed my credit card for bids. This was not my understanding of free. I called customer service to clear up their mistake and I was told sorry, but is non refundable. "On the left side of the screen", out of the registration area "it says we are billing you 99.00 non refundable fee". This is, in my opinion a scam and I have found many others who have been victims of the same rip off! I contacted their support department and was emailed back and told it is their policy not to refund this fee. They then informed me that they were crediting my bidrack account with an additional 120 bids, an 80.00 value. I tried to close their useless account and they want me to go back and use this rip off! That will not happen. I responded to their email by telling them I have already filed a complaint with the BBB in Deleware and that I would if necessary pursue legal action against them.
