We were called on Wednesday, January 23, 2013 by a Matthew Eades from Coast to Coast stating that we were in default of a contract we signed years ago for the amount of $1000.00. He stated that He would release us from this amount for the amount of $349.00. We had purchased the vacation club membership years ago after a much pressured sales pitch. When we tried to use the plan on several occasions we were turned down for various reasons. We were very disapointed in the plan. I wrote the company to express my discontent with the company. I requested our money back, which we never got. We then had a representative call us around a year ago, asking if we wanted to renew the program. I stated no as we were not satisfied with the product before. We never heard another word from the company until yesterday. If we were truly in default of a contract would we not have received mail stating this fact? We Paid the money but feel we have been scammed!!!! We have turned the incident over the the Arkansas Attorney General office for further review.

  • I sincerely apologize for the unfortunate experiences you describe. You are certainly not in default of your contract, but were rather mistakenly contacted by a fairly new representative who misunderstood the information we have on file for you. This rep has since been reprimanded and coached on proper company procedures.

Regarding your inability to use your membership in the past, we pride ourselves on our customer service and welcome the opportunity to improve your experience. As a gesture of good will and by way of further apology, I would like to extend to you a one-year, complimentary membership renewal. Our thousands of members enjoy significant discounts on travel through our full-service travel agency, personalized vacation planning and the convenience of our brand new concierge division, Grand Excursions. We would like you to be among them.

Please email us your contact info at [email protected] so that we may make things right!

  • I had the exact same experience as the writer of this post. They called and forced me into renewing a contract by threatening to report me to credit agencies. They have since "apologized" and promised to refund my $449 four times - I have received nothing in writing or a refund. Each time they come up with an excuse about why their finance dept has not processed the refund. I have reported them to the Florida State Attorney General.
