Our son is disabled and we hired this agency for private in home therapy and teaching services. We were responsible for a portion of the financial cost and our health insurance covered a portion as well. We worked with 2 therapists for close to 2 years and recently found out that one of these therapists was billing our insurance company for many (10-15) ours per month over what she was actually working. We brought it to her supervisors attention at this agency and we were notified that the agency had no involvement in this fraudulent activity and the therapist would be replaced if we choose to continue services with their agency. We chose to continue with them at the time. A new therapist began several weeks later and worked with our son since. We also notified our insurance company who immediately opened up a fraud case, which is still ongoing. The director of this agency called us and informed us that this therapist that was committing this fraud was an independent contractor and her director saw her time sheets for hours worked and thought they looked suspicious in the past but choose not to bring it to anyones attention. We were asked by her to notify our insurance fraud department that their agency wasn't involved because otherwise their business could be shut down. We continued to pay them and use their services up until this point. The director of this agency called us last week and notified us that they were no longer willing to offer services to our family or son after this situation. We were given no explanation or enough time to even have another agency/service start. We wrote them asking if they were involved in this fraud because now we are questioning their motives behind all of this. We never received a reply.
