I was over Charged on the purchase of a Canon PowershotSX500si. While my 70D Canon was sitting on the counter, the salesman kept handling my camera. Then the second shark arrived-the owner of the business. The salesman brought out a small digital quickshot estimated costs of $249.00. After a lengthy show of expensive- white projector/apple adaptable equipment $3,000. which I refused along with other expensive equipment. The owner offered my sister and I a hot tea along with his very personal stories. After the tea I was very tired and sedate-calm compliant! The owner said the camera was listed at 1,700. and I could purchase for 1,200. All I wanted to do was go sit and sleep. I asked Visa to dispute and Visa claimed my signature is your acceptance. When I confronted the owner the next morning, he insisted confusion: stating I also purchased a lens for the 70D Canon. I tried to keep the situation very calm because I was alone amongst several male employees in the store. The owner said he couldn't believe it and to return by 4PM and that he would locate the receipt. When I returned his demeanor changed, raising his voice and walking away from me stating he didn't match internet pricing. I appealed to his personal side and he instructed a male cashier to give me a credit refund of $479.99. I again was the only person in the store. I was not feeling well. I couldn't think and this date I still do not know why I was nauseated,a bad headache and shaky feeling since I left the store. This nauseous feeling was not a sickness I could pinpoint, I just felt bad. My main concern was to exit the shop. Canon in New York said this shop is not an authorized dealer. I will contact the AG's office, Mayor Bloomberg and the BBB in New York of this scamming sales practice.
