  • This happened to me on January 2, 2013. We were both scammed by a phishing site that looked like the authentic renewal site. They tried to bill me twice but my CC denied the second $12 charge as redundant because it was done so fast after the first. I finally called the Texas Drivers License dept. and they told me there had been other callers that day asking where their licenses were. They had also been scammed by the site. I had to cancel my CC because they have my card number. I haven't noticed any strange charges yet but I'm not taking any chances. I have the $12 under dispute on my CC. I sill have to go get my license in person now. Just hope nobody is using my license number since I gave them that info too. They are Licensing Services phone number 214-267-8277
