I was called this evening by a foreign sounding woman who called my home home number and informed me that I was one of 1700 Pennsylvanians selected for a government grant of $7000.00. I was given the above number, 206-905-9483 and a confirmation code and was told to call. A foreign sounding man answered the phone and again confirmed my selection for the free, non-taxable, grant. I was asked to use the money in a productive manner, and not to gamble, buy drugs, or any other poor choices. I was told to go to a western union with ID, my confirmation code, and $270.00 to pay western union for a personal transaction. Then I would receive the $7, 270.00 cash, through my bank account or on my Visa Credit card. I told them I did not have the cash and the man told me to call him right away once I got my check. He wanted to know what time I would call and told me I could contact him anytime between 10:00 am and 7:00 pm. Luckily, I did check on this and saw the same complaint from someone who got taken by this fraudalent couple.
