Hello,

My name is Amanda Nicole, and I'm having some issues with Allstate Insurance Company. I've been out of work since September 18th due to illness. I've been diagnosed with Wolfe Parkinson White Syndrome of the heart, some sort of growth on my thyroid, and Graves Disease. I'm currently waiting for medicine to work, so I can have surgery. In the mean time, I have short term disability which is supposed to cover 60% of my income. However, it's been like pulling teeth to get anyone in that company to give me any real assistance. I have a three year old daughter at home, and we're currently without power. Have been for five days. I have been on the phone with Allstate numerous times a day, every day, trying to get someone to pay on this claim. First they kept saying they had not received my current physician statement, which my physician tried faxing five different times to two different numbers. They showed me confirmations that it had been received five times. Finally I went to my doctor and picked it up myself to avoid the run around of, "well what number did they send it to, what time, from what fax number?" and still getting no where.

Over the last four days I've spoken to three supervisors, Lyn, Jackie, and Mary, none of which can actually help. All they can do is put in a request and it would be 24-48 hours to process. Which is all well and good, if you aren't sitting with a child in a house with no power. At this point, it has been 48 hours, and because a claims examiner has yet to pick up the request, I'm told there's nothing they can do, and left waiting. If it weren't for backup batteries, I wouldn't be able to contact anyone at all regarding this matter. Five days in of getting absolutely no where has led me to you. Can you please help me? I'm desperate here.
