Universal Timeshare Sales of Beaverton, OR. called me this morning just past 10:00 AM stating they were sitting with a couple from Canada, both Doctors, both with incomes of $80,000.00 each. Looking around at Universal, it seems like they have a lot of Doctor clients from Canada. It was just past 7:00 AM in Beaverton, OR at the time of this call. They called to confirm I still wanted to sell my interest in an Orlando timeshare (near Downtown Disney) at a place that uses a blue logo that looks like a flower. They stated the couple had seen my advertisement on the web site. I said how much do they want to pay? He said how much do you have? Hmmmm ... they saw an ad on the web site and they were interested enough to call yet they didn't know the size of the sale? I have to say I have never been to Beaverton, OR. Everyone I spoke with at Universal Timeshare spoke with an accent that says ‘Latin America’. In response to my question, the Supervisor then stated that the interested couple was not actually at the table with him, as they were with an associate in another room. Interesting, they called me to seal the deal yet the buyers hadn't indicated to him the size of the sale? Seemed to me to be cart before the horse. I told the super that the couple couldn’t afford to purchase my interest (due to its size) at which time he got calmly angry, said a few disparaging things and hung up. We never got to the part where he wanted $$$ up front. Another interesting point, the property he was calling about has never been on a web site offered for sale. I am on both the National Do Not Call List as well as my State Do Not Call List.
