Complaint 19101 Details

I noticed that my bank account had a debit of $30 on 9/6/11. I called the number (866-761-1124) that showed up on the details of the debit listed as Fund Assurance. I spoke to (Mary) and asked her who they were associated with. She said they were with quickpaydaynow.net. Apparently, if you complete an online application with this website, you are automatically/unknowingly agreeing to pay the $30 subscription price to protect your bank account from being debited. I explained that this would not be a benefit to anyone as she explained it and I told her that it was the law that if a customer asked to cancel and have the amount refunded in three business days, they needed to comply. She hesitated to do so and offered to just cancel the account, but I told her she needed to also refund the $30 back to my account. She provided a confirmation number to me and said that it would be refunded and posted to my account within 10 business days. (We will see). She also tried to sell more services knowing that I was not happy being involved with this scam. I informed her that the Better Business Bureau would be contacted and they would be reported along with the several hundreds of thousands of complaints against the company on the internet. She backed down from her sales pitch and remained professional. Good luck with anyone else finding themselves caught up with this company.
