Lauwen Purple presented himself as Thomas J. Purple, Deputy Commander, Task Force White Eagle in US Afghanistan. Pictures he provided were of the real Commander Purple. I was able to determine that the person I was talking with was not the US Army Thomas J. Purple. The imposter knew many things about the real Mr. Purple that he got from Facebook or LinkedIn. But, many things he said were not true and I was able to confirm that he was lying. A request was made for a leave letter and money to get him home before Christmas. No money was sent.

- Would like to put a stop to this person targeting women in this type of scam. Stop him or them from taking advantage of women.
