Received my Barclaycard statement today to find two charges made on my account neither of which I know anything about. As I live in the UK being charged something in U.S Dollars seemed a bit strange. Once the exchange rate was applied I was charged £1.62 by Asarisupport.com and then 2 days later was charged £25.75 again after the exchange rate was applied by another company, Myeastcghelp.com. The only connection that I can make is that these just happened to be the two days I was in London, having travelled on the underground both days. That is as much as I know. When I contacted my credit card company all they could tell me was that the transactions were neither made online or over the telephone.... so again... clueless!!!!
In view there are 32 complaints and none have been dealt with I am assuming mine too will go into the abyss.
My card has now been cancelled but will be checking my others as this seems to be a widespread scam.
