I was selling a diamond ring on Craigalist.com

Scammer:

"Thank you for your email, I wish i could call to ask this questions
and payment for the ring but due to being offshore and phone calls are
totally restricted i decided to email you and hope you will respond at
your earliest convenient

1,I would like to know the reason its being sold?You may not answer if
its personal

2,What is your firm price although am okay with the listing price
because i checked this type of ring online and its much more?

3,Do you have the original box and paperwork for the ring?

4,Do you mind sending some pics to my email but no problem if you can't?

5,Do you mind if i pay you through paypal because that is the only
form of payment i have access to right now i would be paying the
shipping charges to NY. Like i said earlier I am petroleum engineer on
offshore and because of this i can't do check,Moneyorder or wire
transfer and i would like to purchase this ring as a surprise gift for
someone very special to me."

I asked for contact informatoin and it responded as follows:

I totally understand your concerns but i am sorry, like i said I am a petroleum engineer on offshore and due to the NATURE of my work phone calls making and visiting of website are restricted so i wouldn't be able to view it in person but i squeezed out time to check your AD and send you an email regarding your jewelry, so i would appreciate if you could allow me to pay through PayPal because that is the only form of Payment i have access to more so i want you to believe that i am legit like i believe you are, am a single parent i have no reason to rip anyone off and i don't want to get ripped off as well, So i would appreciate if you can help me ship the jewelry upon receipt of payment through PayPal.


Thank you."
