Looking at a test I provided on 09/2010, Ms. Lesner was telling me that for $1,100 she can make me a hearing aid, in-the-ear style. She assured this price during six months and when I got the money I made the appointment of 04/30/2011. To make the hearing aid she said I had also to pay for a hearing test. But, after making a poor and quick test Ms. Lesner said that she cannot make the hearing aid as promised, that I need more money. I was forced then to pay $75.00 for the test; why should I pay for a test that was supposed to be for making the hearing aid? I told her I need a hearing aid, not an isolated hearing test that I have not asked. Ms. Lesner only answer was "I am sorry," but took my money and gave me No hearing aid. Ms. Lesner misleaded and abused me.



Update: 01/19/2012

I will see Ms. Lesner today Jan 19 at 1:30 to remove my complaint and she said will return my $75. I am very concerned going to her office, on my last experience she was rude and humiliated me a lot. See my conversation of Dec 26, 2011.

Update: 01/19/2012

Today Ms. Lesner issued a refund to my credit card account for $75. We agreed I will wait the refund is credited correctly in my credit card account.

  • I had contacted Lesner Hearing Center as per their message of Nov 15th, 2011, but I was told she is not available to correct the issue. I left my phone number to be contacted by her when avaialble, but she has never responded. I would like to know if they are serious about correcting the situation and returning my $75.00.

  • I have received a letter from Ms. Lesner inviting me to go to her office and from there, I should remove my complaint from Scambook. After that she said will return the $75.00 I had to paid her for a test I did not ask, which was intended to provide the hearing aid that she decided not to provide unless I come with more money. Her letter did not concentrate in the main issue, presenting a bad distortion of the facts, specially the last visit when I had to pay her $75.00.

    I will be glad she reimburse the $75.00, but I do have some concerns.

    First, what is the correct procedure to remove my complain from Scambook, can I do that?

    Second, is there a better way to receive the reimbursement of $75.00? I am not comfortable going back to Ms. Lesner office. During the appointment before and after the hearing test she humiliated, intimidated and degraded me in my social status, many times repeating how horrible was the sound of my hearing aid among other things, and for my lack of more money telling me if I was in welfare (that was incredible, of course my hearing aid was not working well, and for that reason I wanted to buy the hearing aid she was promising for many months for $1,100). Her whole behavior was rude. I would have been left that place but I was so intimidated, only expecting to get the good hearing aid she promised. It was an horrible and humiliating experience, and since I observed that day how bad manners she used with another elder lady in the waiting room, it doubles my concern about going back there. Her business practices and her abusive expressions are another issue, this is besides a case of false advertisement.

  • I did not received any comment from Scambook to my question posted on Dec 26, 2011 regarding how to remove my complaint if Ms. Lesner returns my money, as she promised. I called Ms. Lesner Jan 17, 2012 and she confirmed yesterday that she had spoken with Scambook on how to do the complaint removal and we agreed on an appointment for today Jan 19, 2012 at 1:30 PM. I am very concerned about talking again with Ms Lesner since my last experience in her office was rude and humiliated me. I will post a follow up comment after todays's appointment to recover my $75.00 as well as the removal of my complaint from Scambook as Ms. Lesner wants to correct the situation. I hope she is not rude or try to intimidate me today.

  • Today Ms Lesner issued a refund to my credit card for $75. I signed that "I agree to discontinue posting comments on Scambook regarding my interactions with Lesner Hearing Center. She has refunded my $75 in full and apologized for any misunderstanding we have had. Refund to my credit card and I will follow up the refund is correct."

    We agreed I will wait the refund is correct in my credit card account.
