I was sent a text message to my mobile from +447860661109 claiming I had won 1,000.000 GBP - apparently my mobile number was selected as a winner with Draw No. 03 11 15 20 21 34 35 and should email [email protected]. I have not entered any FreeLotto competitions and live on another continent altogether!! - so wondering how they got my number or details?? I emailed the address and was sent this from a Brian Calton: Header: "CONGRATULATION ONCE AGAIN=CONTACT COURIER FOR Delivery UPDATE" message: Please find attached document for info to contact courier delivery company: [email protected]. Two files were attached - one is a certificate to 'authenticate' my winnings and the other is instructions to pay the courier and to keep it 'private'! Ha what a joke! I have not sent any money and can't believe people out there actually rip people off like this!
- Seeking Resolution: Other
- To help others who have been ripped off by this type of scam! I luckily have not paid anything - but the scam is so plausible I can see how people could believe it. Help them recoup their loses.
