11/27/12 - Placed order online.
12/3/12 - Called the customer service line at 888-871-1256 to check on my order status. The individual that answered the phone did not announce the company or themselves. He abruptly asked for my order number and pulled it up. He informed me that my order was not being processed yet as it takes 3-5 business days for this to occur. He did inform me that they did not have the product I ordered (a camera) in stock and that it would not be shipped for a while. I needed this for a Christmas present so asked if it would arrive before Christmas and he said no. I asked why they couldn't have called me sooner to let me know this since it was something they knew wasn't in stock. He said that it was their process and that's just how things worked. I explained my concerns about having to wait to be told that they didn't have it in stock as I'd lose valuable time trying to find this item elsewhere. He said that it was just the process and that he'd cancel my order. I asked to speak with a supervisor so that I could share my concerns about the process from a customer’s standpoint. He said that no one was around and that I'd have to call back. During the entire conversation this individual was very curt and unapologetic about the circumstances or trying to understand my concerns. I explained to him that I didn't like the way he was coming across and he hung up the phone on me. I called back immediately and spoke with another individual (who said he was Tommy). Tommy was a little better, but told me to just "let it go". He said that they were busy and maybe this person was just having a bad day. He indicated that this time of year is crazy and I should try to understand. I explained to him that I also work in the service industry and am shocked at the type of service they provide to their customers. He offered to give me free shipping on my next order, but I informed him that I don't anticipate doing business with them again.
