Like several other folks that complained here- Mark Lawson, doing business as Patch Lawson technologies ran a scam and scammed me for $9000. He advertises his false businesses on BizBuySell.com and "fishes" for people that do not have good experience with internet businesses.

In my case, I bought 2 websites that were supposedly generating ~400 / month each. I bought the two for $9000. The websites operated by posting bogus posts on Craigslist regarding insurance salvage vehicles and boats for sale, respectively. He claimed he was using a third party for the Craigslist posting (which he called "marketing", which later I found to be a strict violation of Craigslist policy), and they were supposed to basically spam Craigslist and post false ads in a lot of different cities. Then, when users email back to the posted, the users are directed to the sites and click on the ads.

Immediately after the purchase of the sites, the traffic to one of the sites dropped to zero. The other site operated for a few months up until Craigslist started blocking such ads. So basically, Mark Lawson & Patch Lawson Technologies sold me a completely fraud site and the whole things is a scam. Furthermore, the sale included a non-compete, and reading other postings here, it looks like there is a second fraud / scam since Mark Lawson / Patch Lawson Technologies / PLC sold the same or very similar site to others.

I think if everyone puts in a little bit of money, we can probably all file a law suit. Just a thought.
