I received their text message and went to Google to learn about it since I don't remember entering a contest, though I do the company surveys they print out on receipts from local companies, which sometimes include "Fill out this survey and be entered to win a (x company) gift card!"
I learned it was a scam and am reporting them, along with forwarding the text message to the FBI as instructed in the article.
