On or about June 13 2012 my credit card ending in #### was charged $71.80 by a company calling themselves “GPM*PEREFEDTTORTIL866-6842004NY”. On or about June 23 2012 I saw this charge online. When I didn’t recognize the number or the name I dialed the number and may have misdialed or at least at that time it was a chat line.
Being I am Christian and do not do any of that type of stuff I called My Credit Card Company, to dispute the charges. You at My Credit Card Company did the right thing and helped me by investigating the charges and crediting me with the $71.80 onto my account.
On June 25 2012 Credit Card Company sent me a letter stating that my account had been credited and that a letter had been sent to the merchant. At that time I pretty much considered the case closed.
On or about June 28th I received by mail a box from a company called “Perfect Tortilla”. I do remember seeing their television commercial promotion for $10.00; you get 4 Perfect Tortilla Molds, 2 recipe guides and a “free cut’n cup” for $10.00. I do remember very clearly going to their website and entering my information for this $10.00 offer https://www.buyperfecttortilla.com/PT/10.0000/index.dtm?mid=2881150
This website you MUST inter your credit card FIRST and click process order that is when you agree to purchase the 4 Perfect Tortilla Molds, 2 recipe guides and a “free cut’n cup” for $10.00., which to me may be a contract. But then it will ask would you like “Upgrade (I think a large bowl size) if/ when you say Yes there was no way to go back for the $10.00 bowl offer. There was nowhere to click “SUBMIT” OR “CANCEL” the LARGER BOWL OFFER. And when it gave me a price of $71.80 made me go THAT IS NOT WHAT I WAS ORDERING and I DON’T WANT THAT. There is not an option at this time to say NO. So the only option was for me to “CLOSE THE WINDOW” because I for one can’t afford the $71.80, especially when it advertized for $10.00. There was nowhere after you clicked that you might want to “UPGRADE” to submit the order or to CANCEL the ORDER one could only assume that another window had not popped up yet to do just this I closed the window and considered the matter closed and forgotten, until I seen I was charged for something that I didn’t recognize.
When I received information that I was charged back the $71.80 on August 11, 2010 I gave My Credit Card Company a call. My Credit Card Company a 3 way conversation with the merchant. When I could not resolve the issue with the rude discourteous ill-mannered person that represented their company, I asked to speak to his supervisor; he flat out refused to do this at first and got ruder and even asked to speak to My Credit Card Company without me. I insisted for not less than five minutes repeated let me speak to your supervisor over and over and over. When he finally gave in and kept us on hold for a few moments someone else came on the line not near as rude at first, but became that way after I told them I refused to pay for something that I didn’t order and that I would also not pay for shipping something that I didn’t order back to them.
I called My Credit Card Company one back and You asked me to write this letter stating what happened and to include CASE NUMBER MERCHANT NAME DATE OF TRANSACTION.
So if they really want to push the mater I did click submit on the $10.00 order but NEVER on anything agreeing to pay $71.80.
I can’t get my money back until I pay nearly $18.00 to ship it back.

Sincerely,Sincerely, Exhausted, befuddled and confused

Darren
