Had an estimate for a patterned carpet which during estimation requested that the patterns matched with one join only.I agreed the price and was asked to pay in full before the order could be placed which I did on my credit card.After the transaction,the estimator gave me a sheet to sign for one join and no mismatch which was explained during his measurements as the area is very wide.He then said he will put the plan on the sheet when he got back to the shop.On the day of fitting,the fitters showed me the sheet with the plan and asked me to confirm it before fitting.I was horrified to see that the estimator had drawn several diagrams which showed several joins and mismatched patterns.I told the fitters not to lay the carpets as I only signed for one join and not multiple joins and matched patterns only.I then asked them to contact the store which they did.The estimator appeared shortly afterwards,walked into my home and began abusing, bullying and forcing me to agree that I had signed for multiple joins and mismatched patterns.I told him about the empty sheet of paper he made me sign for one join which he took away to which he denied and said he did the drawings in my home.I then told him he had underestimated the amount that was required to which he again denied.He then called the shop manager who told me I had to buy more carpet as it was my fault and I was confused.The estimator continued to rant and at this stage I asked for a full refund as I realised he did not want to accept his mistake.I contacted the manager again as was asked by the estimator before he left.Again I was told there was no refund by the shop.When I received my credit card statement,I noticed the esimator had credited an additional 62pence from my card account on return to the shop.Irang the manager who told me I was lying.My estimate sheet shows the above amount,a copy which I sent to customer services which they disregarded.They are still refusing to give me a refund for their mistake and despite the abuse and bullying I had to endure in my own home.
