I was looking for a Siberian Kitten on a website called "felines4us.com". They had a no fraud guarantee, so I had assumed that they were a legitimate website. I found a woman named "Stacey McCourtney" from a city in Texas, that had two kittens for $300. When I emailed her, she immediately responded and asked me about myself, and said she would take a day to decide if i was the right owner for her kitten. I did so, and the next morning she agreed that I was the rightful owner. She decided not to personally charge me for the kitten, but required me to pay $450 for the delivery free from a company called "Animal Airlines". The representative from this "company" was a foreign man from Cameroon. He required me to use Western Union which drew a red flag, but since the website was "fraud free" that I found the woman on, I didn't thing much about it. The kitten was supposed to be delivered at 10:30 am the next day, however, I received a phone call in the morning saying that they "forgot" to mention that they needed an insurance plan on the kitten for $1,600. I of course refused, saying that I was completely blindsided and was not informed that I owed any more money. He badgered me that if I did not give this money, the kitten would go into quarantine. I eventually emailed Stacey and she said she would help out by giving $700. When arguing with the company that I did not have the remaining money, he yelled at me and said that I was abandoning this kitten and that I should contact my lawyer because he was going to sue me. Panicked, I sent in a portion of the remaining money ($220) and he agreed that was fine and that my kitten would arrive the next day at 9 am. At around 8:30 am, I received another phone call saying that he forgot to mention that I had to pay another $100 for an animal permit immediately. I went off on the man, and he said that he refused to refund my money. It started to piece together that this was a total scam, as he refused to even name the airport that the cat was delivered to. I called my nearest airport and they said they had never heard of "Animal Airways" and that it was probably a fake. I did some research, and turns out these are a bunch of greedy Cameroonians and are scamming Americans for their money. I was completely blindsided. DO NOT FALL FOR THIS.
