I placed an order for theatrical contacts for Halloween on 10/24/12. The total charge for the actual order was $86.93, with an additional $1.73 processing charge, which the pay website didn't say anything about, but that's pretty small in the grand scheme of things. I tracked the order through first of all royal mail, and then through usps. As soon as usps got the order in, they immediately posted that the order was undeliverable and that they would be sending it back to the original sender due to addressing issues. I contacted www.demonsfx.com to let them know of the problem and to see if I could get a credit back on my account for the amount since first of all I wouldn't be receiving the product, and second of all I wouldn't be receiving it by Halloween, which is what I needed it for. I also included the tracking number so they could see for themselves that I wasn't just scamming them. I didn't hear back from them until I sent another email that wasn't as nice as the first. The response I received was to basically tell me that my order had shipped already so I wasn't eligible for a refund, and if I wanted my money back to send the product back to them. I responded again and told them that I couldn't send the product back since I never received it, and again gave them the tracking number. They responded again telling me that usps was trying to redeliver the product and correct the shipping errors, so again I wasn't eligible to receive a credit. I replied one last time since as of now I still haven't received my product, and again the response I received was just repeating what the royal mail had to say, which was basically that usps received the package. It obviously wouldn't state anything about the mix up in shipping, and if I want a credit I would have to either refuse delivery or return the package back. I am extremely frustrated with this whole transaction.

  • I also just received an email from demonsfx.com, this one much faster than all the rest, to let me know that they have been contacted by scambook.com, and they never said that I couldn't have a refund, they said they need the product back so they CAN issue a refund (they emphasized can), and they are in fact not a scam company, that they have plenty of happy customers. My problem with this whole thing is if I don't receive the product, and they don't receive it back, and it's basically lost, am I supposed to just accept the fact that I'm out $88.66 for nothing? I'm already out the money since I didn't receive the product by Halloween. Isn't that good business to issue a refund when a customer doesn't receive their product? I also have all of the emails from them saved, including the tracking number, and the transaction on my credit card so if I have somewhere to forward them I would love to do so.
