Hi. my 12 yr old son who has aspergers syndrome went to this shop and traded his ipod touch and also paid £25.00 in cash as a deposit on an apple mac laptop. In total he paid £65.00 towards it without our permission. He was told it had 3 months garantee on it. And the owner of the shop allowed him to do this without contacting an adult. After 2 months the laptop fired up but the screen stayed blue. So we took it back. They told my husband that the technision had said that the main board had burnt out and was cracked. They blamed my son ,saying he must have dropped it. We were very suspcious (as their behaviour was very strange while we were in the shop ) so We got another computer expert to look at it. And he said there was nothing wrong with the main board it was neither cracked or burned. We also have pictures to prove it and a written report from the expert. My husband took it back in and explained all this. But the manager then said we didn't bring it back in time. It was out of garantee. When my husband told him the exact dates of purchase as it was the day before our sons birthday( as it was his main birthday present )and the exact date we brought it back for repair, he told my husband that it was only 28 days garantee instead of 3 months. Although previously he told my husband it was infact 3 months when he first brought it back for repair and had no problem taking it in to apparently be looked at. I am appalled at this store and they shouldn't be in business. When my son first put money on it they didn't give him a receipt/ card with details. When we paid the rest of it off ( which we now regrett doing ) He gave us a receipt written on a piece of cardboard with no dates or signature. When my husband asked for a reciept when he first took it in for repair he was refused one. Not to mention the fact that they allowed a 12 year to put money and trade an item for it in the first place and the worst thing of all is that they know exactly what they are doing. They didn't care and were obviously used to doing this. They knew it was my sons birthday gift and that my son has been coming to their shop for games for four years. He certainly does not look like a 12 year old let alone an adult and it is quite obvious he has a disability. My son was really upset by there entire attitude. And i'd like to point out that the manager drives around in a porch. I wonder how he affords that ?? does he have any consicence ?? DO NOT SHOP AT CASH TRADERS IN SUTTON THEY ARE TOTAL COWBOYS
