I trusted that it would be a safe way of transferring money to India as it is a arm of ICICI Bank. I have used their service three times now, first time it took 4 weeks for the money to be transferred to my beneficiary's account, second time it took one week- after I made several calls to their call centre in India.

Third time and the recent one I did was the worst, they simply mentioned that the funds could not be tracked. I sent them a proof saying of receipt of online transfer I made from my bank. Still, I was told they more information. That's ridiculous, when I contacted my local bank, they almost laughed that what else would they need more than online transfer receipt. The worst part was they asked for SWIFT statement, how very dumb. How can I get them swift statement when the transfer is from my local account to ICICI bank's local account in my present country.

It is by far, my worst banking experience ever. I have dealt with many different banks, different organizations that deal with money, foreign exchange, so on.

Simply to be say that "funds could be tracked", is very arrogant. When I have sent them a proof my money being sent to their local account, that means they have stolen my money or one of their employees stole my money and now they are not able to track funds.

So, please be very careful if you are going use their service. You are better off sending your money through Western Union or your local bank as International transfer. You dont have go through till (Inappropriate Content Removed)

  • Oh thank you, I have mailed to the e-mail address mentioned. What happen? 12 hours gone, no reply. In between I called the call centre again before few minutes, what happens? Same story, we received your request on 11th, but we have not received the funds. Has the money been debited from your account? Same questions for which I have answered them hundreds of time that the money was debited and that I sent them the remittance copy. I don't know what to say, this is just turning out to be the worst.
