I went to a sales pitch by Ocean Canyon Travel (Properties) about a year ago and received vouchers for 2 free hotel nights, a cruise, and 2 roundtrip airfares.

After sending in the certificates with a refundable deposit of $224 ($50 for hotel nights, $75 for airfare, and $99 for cruise)in the form of money orders and by certified mail, I received vouchers with many more restrictions and hoops to jump through. I cancelled the airfare and hotel night vouchers and received deposit back on those. They also cancelled my cruise when I sent in the voucher to claim it. By the time I got it straightened out it was already "too late" for me to take the cruise on the first date I picked.

Finally, I get to the second date I picked and they send me the quote. Direct from cruise line was $1104 and they were $1082. Then I requested quote for a 5 day instead of a 7 day cruise and the difference was about $120. Once she sent the credit card authorization, I backed out because I was supposed to send them a copy of the front and back of my credit card making sure the signature was clearly visible on the copy, and pay a 4% processing fee, and be responsible for misc. fees in addition. What a scam!! Stay away from these people!! I cancelled the cruise and they kept $20 for activating the voucher. This whole ordeal was over a year of hassle and a lot time put into trying to satisfy their requirements and picking the cruise all to end up getting nothing and paying them in the end. Very disappointing and a big waste!!!
