Back in July, a company called TopOfTheSearchPage.com contacted me out of the blue. TopOfTheSearchPage.com has been in business for over 7 years, and is based in Las Vegas, NV. They obviously got my name from some list of folks involved in Network Marketing. I listened to their pitch, and watched their Demo. What was being sold was positioning at the top of all the major search pages for a year. This sounded very enticing and the company seemed reputable, so I went for it.
I was promised 45 key words that when someone would search, my website would appear at the TopOfTheSearchPage.com. What was never made clear to me is that the way this would be done is that I would get a pretty lousy looking landing page with nothing but a lot of SEO (Search Engine Optimization) mumbo jumbo on it, and a few links that would go to my actual site that I wanted to advertise. Feel free to see what I am talking about http://lucrativebusinessconcepts.com/.

After letting this run for a month, I had gotten no traffic. I called Client Services at TopOfTheSearchPage.com to tell them my woes. What they told me was the problem was that the landing page was really nothing special (I could have figured that out on my own). What I really needed was a three page splash page that would tell people about me, and then people would click on my actual site. For some reason, I was gullable enough to listen, coughed up some more money, and let them build me the three page splash page. You can see it here: http://generatepassiverevenue.com/

As you can see, the splash page is okay, but the problem is people still have to go through the convoluted landing page to get there. Bottom line, after spending a TON of cash with TopOfTheSearchPage.com and waiting two full months, I have not only NOT gotten a single sale, I have not gotten a single lead, and I have not gotten a single person to even click through to my actual site that I wanted people to get to originally. I feel really taken advantage of.

I wrote a blog post about this. To see it, go to (Link Removed)
