I had dropped off a dress at a dry cleaning facility close to my home; I typically take care of this on lunch hour, during the week. It was the weekend and I went to a local dry cleaners, when I went in the man started to talk to me about some customers who in the past were having problems with his prices, so he diligently explained to me how he would give discounts, as you can imagine I was happy to hear this, dropped off my dress went hope and started to plan my day. When Tuesday came I grabbed my list to do and knew and saw that today was the day to pick up my dry cleaning (dress)as I looked at my receipt I saw that the price to clean a sleeveless dress was almost $19.00 my jaw dropped, you see I never expected after this man's speech to concern myself with his pricing. As I went into the cleaners I approached him and told him I was very upset to see how much he was charging me for his services and reminded him about the story he told me the past Saturday and if he would be willing to give me a discount as well, he then gave me a coupon for the next time I come in for 20%, I said to him, wouldn't it be the customer friendly to give me a discount up front and that this would show me you are a good business? He said no ma'am I just looked at him and said really why not it would make me come back here and good business for you. He said no ma'am again and told me I do good business here, you don't like it you go elsewhere, held the door open to get me out of his cleaners. I have never ever been so humiliated and let there and said, so sad. I just don't think this business should be taking people for granted by charging so much. I did my research and found that the price he charged me was almost double at 2 others establishments I checked out. I know this is not alot of money, but it is about the principal of it.
