A classic bait and switch Internet merchant!

On October 2nd I attempted to order one (1) Forever Comfy Cushion for my wife. The cost for the item was $19.95 plus $9.95 P&H for a total of $29.90. After making this selection on the merchant’s website, I was bombarded with a series of special offers as I attempted to complete the order and checkout. Each time a special offer appeared on the screen I declined.

When I declined the last special offer I immediately received an “Order Completed” message and no summary of the order or total cost was ever displayed prior to the “Order Completed” message appearing. When I received an Email confirmation for the order, it showed that four (4) items were ordered and the total charge was $114.70. I immediately called the merchant’s Customer Service number, but after 3 attempts and being place on hold for over 15 minutes each time, I gave up.

On October 4th at 9:16 AM I was finally successful in reaching a Customer Services Rep named Annette. I advised her that I only ordered one (1) Forever Comfy Cushion and requested that the order be corrected. Annette claimed that the order had been shipped and could not be changed or cancelled. I told her I would refuse delivery of the items and dispute the credit card charge.

On October 6th at 1:40 AM I received an “Order Has Shipped” Email from the merchant. But when I checked FedEx’s website the following week their records showed that they did not receive the parcel until October 8th at 11:15 PM.

On October 12th at 12:36 PM I refused delivery of the parcel and requested that it be returned to the shipper.

  • I ordered 1 the big thing being 1. By the time I finished all the dumb offers and got to the end they had me down for 2 at 80.00. I ask if all there orders were done like this and she said no. Of course not. Got hold of c s and think I have it straitened out. Typical deal the price was wrong even if I had ordered 2 it should have been about 60.00 Just another rip of company that can do to the the consumer and get away with it. I never write these but I am burnt out on fraud.
