I received a telephone call from Michael Chase stating three charges were being brought against me by the State's Attorney, Kevin Peterson. I spoke with Michael Chase and Logan Fernandez, both had very heavy Middle Eastern accents. The said they had all my personal informaiton, includeing where I worked, my social security number, home address, my banking routing number and bank account. If I did not pay them $2600, my information will be "black listed" and I would not be able to get any loans for anything, and my credit would be flagged. A sherrif will be coming to my work place to arrest me at my job site. I called them back,10-11-12, spoke with Logan Fernandez and he said the case was already filed against me and the sherrifs will be at my work place at 11:30 a.m. I went online an noticed several people have complained about this scam. who handles the Fair Debt Collections Practice Act in Claifornia?
They also called my Department Chair and College Dean as I work at a University. They should not be calling these people telling my business, even if what they are saying are lies. I have to face these people every day. PLEASE HELP ME. STOP THESE SCAMMERS.
