I went to the gym a few days ago and a rep calls me and advised me that I am eligible for 1 hour with a personal trainer so I scheduled it for this past Friday. Well the workout with the trainer was great so I signed up and purchased 12 sessions for $699.00. I received a phone call letting me know that my next training session is on Monday. I went to the training session and the guy worked out with me for 5 mins and told me that the sessions are for 30 mins NOT an hour. I told him there must be a mistake because I just worked out with the trainer for an hour on Friday. The guy went to the manager and confirmed the session time and then came back and said it is in fact 30 mins NOT one hour. WELL since he was already there with me I thought the respectable thing for me to do is to continue with the workout and then think about it over night.Well today is the new day and I only was allowed 5 days from date of contract to cancel it excluding Sunday. So I went into the gym and spoke w/the same rep who signed me up and I asked him to cancel my PT sessions. I advised him that I was under the impression that my sessions were for one hour not 30 mins. He then became upset and stated that he told me they were 30. I advised the Personal Trainer that I did not find out they were 30 mins until I came in and met with the PT yesterday and I only stayed to workout with him because he was already there to train me and I thought the respectable thing to do would be to finish the workout. well this man actually had the nerve to start yelling at me and telling me how he doesnt like it when people cancel on him. The man I am speaking of works in the San Carlos LA Fitness location and his name is Rick S. A few minutes later Rick asked me if I was going to be training with someone and I let him know I will be training with my friend who goes to the same gym. Then Rick told me he will kick us out if we are training in there. Then he asked me how much I am paying the guy and I told him $0 and then HE reiterated that he will kick us out if he sees us training. I told the manager that I must have used the wrong verbiage because I am not going to bring someone to the gym to train me, nor will I pay anyone and he and I will be more like accountability partners to ensure I make my way to the gym even when i dont feel like it. WELL then Rick starts yelling at me and kept saying he will kick us out and and this (Inappropriate Content Removed) him off.
