I got a text message from "[email protected]" in response to my car for sale on Craigslist. The text read "I am interested in you posting in cars & Trucks section on cl. Reply to [email protected] with your firm price."

This already raised my suspicions, so I did a quick search for the "sariaqs" email address, but didn't see anything. I sent the email, explaining my skepticism, and asked for confirmation of what the item was they were interested in. There was an immediate auto-reply from a NEW sender: "dsch" The reply is here will follow in my subsequent comment (doesn't fit anymore in this comment).

…as promised, here is the auto-reply from Mary Hinz, or dsch, or Rodney, or whoever:
"Thank you for your email. I won't be able to get back to you right away because I am currently deployed and in and out of cell range. I will back to you as soon as possible. Thanks
If this is in response to my inquiry on CL, I deliberately left this message for you because I don't want to keep you waiting. Please read my message below and get back to me. I will get back to you as soon as possible.
I have read through your ad and from what I have seen,it is priced favorably compared to others so I want you to consider it sold to me ''AS IS'' for the asking price but you have to assure me it is as described. I am Sgt Rodney currently deployed to a remote area until June 30. We have a bad and fluctuating network here otherwise I would have preferred to seal the deal via phone call so email and text messages work best for me at the moment.

Nevertheless, I believe we can seal the deal right away because I am ready to pay you via my PayPal account that is attached to my bank account as that is the only secure form of payment that I have access to right now.
