I was 5 days late with my bill. I started to try to contact the office. BUT! all I got was an answering machine. They returned the call; BUT! I missed them. This went on for a week. So instead of calling them again to say when I was going to be there; I went in and paid my bill. To my surprise my lock was cut off and replaced by one of their security locks. So I had to go home, & pick up a lock because without a new lock they would not take off theirs. I returned and replaised their lock with my lock. Because of the unavailability of contacting them I decided to cancel my business with them and remove my property. When I opened the storage space to get my belongings; I could tell that this was NOT the way I stacked it. A couple of days later I discovered at home a couple of items missing. 1) a stack {about 500} Chicago Bulls Basketball cards from the Bulls Championship seasons was removed from a green tupperware container. 2) Also missing is a Bianchi X-15 Shoulder holster, that fit a 357 magnum revolver. I as usual called the office to make a formal complaint; BUT only recieved the answering machine. No efforts were made on the part of Public Storage to reply. I made a complaint with the BBB. Public Storage replied with a bunch of bull saying that only managers put security locks on delinquient storage spaces & that they are too repitable to do such a thing. The thing is it happened. Give those workers a POLYGRAPH TEST and see how much they tell the truth. I want my property back. Not the money for it.
