Claim#035674544-0101-012 On Saturday June 18 I was involved in a accident in Prescott Valley AZ. I was side swiped by a young girl by the name of Danielle Johnson who said it was her mothers car and explained that she was there for a wedding. I asked her for all of her info and she gave me her DL# Address and since the vehicle did not have plates I wrote down the vin# to the vehicle. I have been staying in contact with the ins since the driver that hit me did not report it to her insurance. I had to open the claim through her ins co. After many attempts to contact the driver to the number she gave me and getting no response I had my vehicle repaired through my ins co which is AAA. The total amount for the repairs were in the amount of $2,101.16 which I had to pay my deductable of $500. I finally get a letter from Geico stating that they were closing the claim do to the fact that they were unable to speak to there insurer by phone, they called everyday and also numerous attemps by mail and got no response. So I feel this is a ripoff what good is it to have insurance if they will not cover when someone is at fault. I believe it is unfair that I get stuck with an expense that clearly would have never happened if the Driver that side swiped me would take responsibility. All I am asking Geico is to reimburse me the $500 deductable and hope that this does not happen to anyone else.
