Received a response to a Craigslist ad for an $85.00 table from [email protected]. When I hit my reply button it addressed the email to [email protected]. Odd. Received a reply from Tammy Wiedman stating following:
Hello! let's do like this, actually now I'm not in town for now for vacation i wont be able to meet with you but am okay with the price as seen on the advert, I'll proceed in issuing a Check out to you and when you received the check , I will make arrangement for pick-up. So get back to me with below details asap.

This looked "off" to me so I did a bit of research and found out from Scambook that this is a known scammer. Glad I discovered this before I went any further.

- Not sure what you do to prevent or prosecute scammers. I suffered no damage, so I have no claim. Just a warning to others.

I received the EXACT email after I'd replied to her interest in my $15 guinea pig cage. I thought it was odd that: a. she replied so quickly; b. that she wanted to go through so much hoopla over a cage; c. this email made zero mention of the cage nor did it address anything I'd actually said in my email.
Evil, shameful people - thank god for the google, though. I feel bad for those who fell for her ruse. You know, I've been unemployed for months & have sold many of my possessions to get by, like a normal human being. Then you have jerks like this who have 0 qualms ripping off innocent people to make money. And adding "god bless" at the end will NOT help their karma - if anything, it makes the whole ripoff all the more disgusting. -
