At approx 3pm I received a call from a " John Matthews" explaining that I was pre approved for a loan I inquired about. He had a VERY thick accent and he ran me through the process. He instructed me to wire 184.00 via western union to thier " accounts dept" in Costa Rica!? I made the transfer. I was then told to wait about 10 minutes for a call back to instruct me how to receive my loan. Instead I received a call back from a " Allen Parker". This man was out of control! He gave me some story that my name was held up in the federal reserve system since I was missing my middle initial?? He told me that I needed to send over the same amount AGAIN and that I would get it back on top of the original loan amount (2000.00). I hung up with him, and never sent the additonal 184.00. He continued to call me hassling me as to when I could send the additional funds. I told him I wasn't interested. I tried calling the number back 1-209-682-5678, but of course now no one will take my call. I am SO UPSET that I allowed myself to be scammed by such idiots. I truly hope that something can be done about this. They should be criminally charged for mis leading people into sending money during tough times.
