We rented 2 houseboats. The safety on these boats was not acceptable. We had cb radios that had an arial that was held by an ocky strap...we would hear a thump on the roof and knew we had to tighten the strap because the arial had fallen. The anchor lights would stop working whenever they felt like it, which is just not acceptable. The life buoys where cable tied to the boat..are we expected to find a knife when someone's life is in jeopardy??? Our power inverter was faulty so if there was an emergency we had flat mobiles that we couldn't charge and therefore couldn't ring anyone. The toilet was full and had not been emptied prior to us boarding and the whole boat smelt will sewage. I'm actually stressing thinking about this........the boats where not safe, uncomfortable and not acceptable for the money paid. Next time I will go camping..not happy and thank god we all returned safely
