I received a check from Mackman Group. I had been awaiting a couple items like this from various places. Although i didnt recognize the name I figured it was just a Company that issued checks for other companies. I deposited it at my Chase Bank here in Florida and it cleared. I desperately needed money and i was thrilled. I was looking out for monies in a check from Stanley Morgan from my Moms death and thought this could be it. I went to the bank a few days later to withdrawal some money and di just that. The next thing I know I receive notice it was an altered check. I called the number at this bank and Texas and they knew about it but wouldnt take any responsibilty for it. Now my accounts been closed, i was charged twice and have to pay it back. Im a single Mom with four kids barely getting by. What I thought was a blessing turned out to be truely another problem I face. I feel so stupid and I apologized to the bank and explained that I absolutely did not and would not intentionally do such a thing. Can you help!!??
