Met on Match.com. Shortly after emailing and talking, he went to Liverpool to work on oil rig as he said he was a pipeline engineer. First needed money to clear equipment from customs and I sent $7,000.00 as a "loan". Wired to bank in California. Sent me a copy of his passport and promissory note. Two weeks later needed money for site clean up - originally needed $31,000. Last request was for $8,000. He sent me link to his bank in London, account # and PIN so that I could see that he had money, but just could not access it. Web site was bogus. Also sent me bank information for the account I was to wire money to - bank in Columbia SC - name on account was Charmika Rushdan. I did not send money. Sent email saying for him to not contact me again - have not heard from him. Also found on another dating site that he is using another name - Michael Schwab. Michael claims to have grown up in Romania with his father, hence the accent. Very smooth. Found out "love emails" were cut and paste from internet.
