Well, after refusing to pay for a long long time, a contact came up i was stupid enough to think was genuine, so i paid $25 for 1 months access only.
I then retrieved the mail, only to find that it was one of about a dozen ive had from various 'contacts' that always start with 'I have just come across your profile, i must tell you that im new to online dating and i dont have a facebook profile, please email me at ****@yahoo.com
I reported it, and requested a refund, at which time they promptly deleted my account.
Yep, Snap interactive took my $25, and within 20 minutes, had deleted my account, and have refused any contact with me.
So i went onto paypal to cancel it all and dispute the transaction, only to find 2 charges for $25, the second being a monthy recurring charge, which was certainly not what i gave permission for.
These guys are no more than confidence tricksters making easy easy cash. Hopefully PP will refund me and take it up with those scumbags at Snap.
Update: 09/28/2012
Paypal have now denied the claim. "Not a tangible product"
Ive still been charged $25 and what i was charged for is still not supplied.

Furthermore, Paypal have now closed the dispute, citing 'not a tangible product'
This leaves me $25 out of pocket, the service i paid for is not supplied, and Paypal have in effect, facilitated fraud in this instance.
AYI and Snap Interactive are crooks. When called out on the fact that the only contact recieved were sock puppets all with identical greeting messages (rather than real users that are just not interested... which i wouldnt be complaining about) the account i had paid for, was deleted. They recieved free money and have been told that they have no obligation to provide the service that they attempted to charge me repeatedly for. -

- Snap have now contacted me and resolved the issue with a refund to my Paypal account, and an apology for inconvenience caused. I now regard this matter as resolved. Thankyou for your assistance with this matter.
