I was contacted on a dating site by a man claiming to be this person. He claimed to be from San Franciso and that he was working in the UK. Manchester England to be exact. He seemed wonderful and wanted to text me and email me so I gave him my cell number ad email adress. Basically we talked on the phone and I ran up a $150.00 international phone bill charge. I think he is wonderful. I have his cell number from America that he texts me on which I checked and is a cell number from California. He also called me from a cell number that had an English country code which matched his story telling me that he was in Manchester, England. He claimed to be a geologist there in England bidding for a diamond mine expedition. He gave me a detailed story about his past. Where he grew up, his parents names and where they were from. Told me that his parents both died 18 years ago within months of each other and that since his father was from another country and his mother was abused by her family he did not have any relatives that he was close to or knew at all. No siblings. He claimed he owned a home in Indiana and San Francisco. I googled his name and there was a Bill Sheron in Indiana but it said he was dead. I questioned him about this and he said that was also his late father's name and that it was his parents house he inherited in Indiana and that was why it said that Bill Sherron was deceased. He sent me five photos. One of which appeared to be from somewhere in Europe, possibly England. He seemed wonderful and instant messaged, texted, emailed, or called me daily sometimes all day long. He was 6 hours ahead of me and the times he was talking to me made sense. We only went maybe the time he was sleeping and I was sleeping without some kind of contact. So I am thinking well there is no way he isn't legitmate. Well about two weeks after we are talking daily. He is telling me I am his soul mate etectera and I am totaly thinking he wonderful and telling me the truth. He tells me he is an independent geologist and he went to Kansas State University and has a degree in geology and he has won a bid to go to either Lagos Nigeria or somewhere in Asia I can't remember. He asks me where he should go? He says he can make much more money in Nigeria and he has never been there. I said well you know more about this pick whichever you want. He tells me is wins the Nigerian bid and is flying there on KLM airlines but did not have his flight number he had left in the hotel but promises to call me as soon as he lands in Lagos no matter what time and let me know he made it. He calls me from a new cell phone he purchased in Nigeria and it has a Nigerian country code. For approximately 10 days go by and he contacts me daily except for a few hours he is either sleeping or working just like before. He tells me about his day each day and how much he can't wait to meet me and be with me blah blah. I am still believing him at this point. I asked him to send me some pictures of him in Nigeria. He says he can't find his cord for his phone to download photos. I think this is odd but he has seemed legit so far. (Oh and his accent was appropriate. He sounded like a person from New York which is where he said he grew up.) Each phone call I received was the same man's voice as well. So I am still believing him eventhough I wasn't happy I had not received any photos from Nigeria. It is the week he is supposedly almost finished mining for precious stones and he says he has a problem. He is supposed to be leaving Nigeria on Wednesday September 12th and flying to my town to see me. He tells me that he has ran into a problem with his bank or credit card. I never really understood this problem exactly and he asks me if he can borrow $450.00 to pay his workers. HUGE RED FLAG!!! I tell him I have no extra money that I can send him. He gets a bit upset but nothing major just says oh well he guesses he will have to sell a few things. I question him some more as to how he can be mining for diamonds and not have either cash to pay for his workers and whatever else he needs or how he can travel so much and not have a credit card that would work there?? I asked how he was paying for his hotel and flight. He said that was prearranged with another credit card. I then start questioning him about this and never really get a straight answer about why he really neeeds $450.00 He starts begging me. I say really you have no one other than a woman you have never met to ask for money from??? I tell him to send me some pictures of him there or a copy of his passport with his picture on it anything to prove to me he is infact who he says he is. Then he says he can't believe I have hurt him like this and do not trust him and he loves me. I said I thought that I really was falling for you too but what kind of idiot would I be to send a person I never met money of any amount???? He begins to get angry then and says things like its not like I can buy a house with $450.00 I said no but I'm not sending you money of any amount. I acuse him of being a scam artist and I looked up all of these Nigerian scams and things on the internet. He never sends me anything a copy of a passport or anything to try to proove to me he is who he claims to be. He did send me an email threatening to turn me in (for what I do not know as I have done nothing but catch him in his scam) to his FBI lawyer friend and he cusses me. Then he apologizes after I tell him I am going to report his name and email and all of the phone numbers he gave me. Now It has been 5 days past the time he said he was leaving the country and he is still texting me and professing to love me and begging me for money to supposedly pay immigration for his precious stones so he can leave Nigeria and come be with me. I have no intentions of sending whoever this person is money and would very much like to do whatever I can to at least stop him from using the alias he is using and the photos and email and phone numbers that he is trying to scam people with. I would greatly appreciate it if you caould tell me what I need to do to do this.
