About 3 months ago I entered my details to receive a free ipod via a facebook promotion. To receive the gift I had to sign up to an online auction site www. Ziinga.com and pay for shipping after checking my card I was charged 1 transaction on the 24/07/12 for $1 then another on the same day for $3. I contacted the supplier and they said that this was the cost for the ipod and it should arrive shortly once i give a Scanned copy of Credit Card (front and back, Scanned copy of valid ID (passport or driver's license, Scanned copy of signed credit card form. Of cause I did not do this and have such have never received the ipod.
I kind of wrote the experience off as a learning experience and resigned myself to the fact that I wasn’t going to get that money back or the ipod. I have now checked my card again and see that there are 2 more transactions on it. One for $28.99 and one for $1.00.
I contacted the company via their online chat system and was told that was my membership fee and i have placed bids??? I explained that I never joined anything and have never placed any bids. I was then told they were automated bids and that to cancel my membership I would have to pay a further $68??? I again refused to pay that asked for my money back and to cancel my supposed membership and they told they would refuse to cancel my membership until i pay the $68 cancellation fee?? I have since had to cancel my credit card. This company is a complete scam and DON'T Go NEAR THEM!!!
