This is a beauty salon who offer IPL hair reduction treatment. I bought six sessions for £99 through a discount voucher and once I had a consultation I was lured into another body area for another £99.
The first three sessions were done ok. My forth session was booked for the 13/09/12, the evening of the 12th I had a call to inform me the therepist was not coming in the next day so I was rebooked for 17/09/12 at 10.30am, althogh my sister in law had a shorter appointment and was seen on this day by the very same therapist which I was told was not coming in.The receptionist lied to me to probably pull in a friend in my slot. I turned up exactly on the dot yet I was not seen because the receptionist had written down 10.00am so according to their diary I was late. I disputed that they had given me this time by telephone yet I was made a liar. There is no way I would take a 10.00am appointment as I have young children to drop to school at 9.00am and it would be almost impossible to get to Putney From E1 with in an hour.
She told me I had to rebook and I would also have this session deducted from my six sessions. I explained that had traveled so far and I had come at the actual time I was given yet she would not even look up at me from her paper work. I even asked if I could sit and wait to be seen incase a client did not attend. She was addament I could not be seen, I pleaded with her. At that point, she told me I could not wait and I had to leave the salon. I wanted to be seen or be given an appointment without having any sessions deducted. She denied be both. When I asked to speak to the manager she told me she was not there, I asked for her contact details she refused, I asked for the receptionist name, she told me this was personal information, I asked for the managers name yet this was not provided. She gave me a salon buisness card and told me to write a letter to make any complaints. I am sure she would handle the post and not pass it through. I am very stressed and feel like I have been a victim of daylight robbery. The receptionists attitude was absolutely disgraceful and very unproffessional. I asked her why my appointment had been cancelled the previous week, she shrugged her shoulders and told me an emergency had occured??? I think this lady is a complete liar and drowning this buisness. If they caan scam one session from each client then they are making money from a service they are not providing. I know of two other clients who have had their sessions deducted because they did not give them 24 hours notice of cancellation.
