International boundaries

This company has fake profiles. None of the contacts soliciting your attention are real. From their profiles alone you can tell that English is not the first language of the person who wrote it.
They appear in your email under a particular city with XX for state. Then when you visit their profile, suddenly they're from your city or nearby surroundings (obviously a browser IP parse).

I called for cancellation and a refund. The guy cancelled me after asking me if I would still want to cancel if it were only $14.95 per month. I said, even if it were free. It's a fraudulent site and not only is it a rip off but a waste of my time. I then told him that I wanted a refund and he asked why. I laughed and told him. He then told me that I agreed to the terms. I told him that I did not agree to the terms that I presently had. Then he said that obviously I did not read the agreement and that it clearly states, in the same font size, that these are online CUPIDS and that this site was for ENTERTAINMENT PURPOSES ONLY.
I got angry and said that this was obviously something he rehearsed blah blah and he shut me off threatening to end the call. I requested to speak to someone else. He asked about what. I said, anything, just someone else. After he tried to block me by saying that not only would I not be able to get a refund but that no one would be able to get me one, I insisted. So he put me on to his 'supervisor'.

While going over my case with her, I said that any lawyer would see this as obvious trickery and that it would never stand up in court. She said,'did you say lawyer?', I said, 'yes, I said lawyer'. She then said that my refund would appear in my account in 30 days.
WTF!!!!
So it seems that these thieves are trained to avoid lawsuits by not ignoring certain keywords. Kind of like 'NO' in rape.
Word to the wise.
