samsung sent me to ask Yahoo Mobile for connection information for mobile services, using 888-582-5145, a number they probably googled. It directed me to a front man who posed as Yahoo, asked if my computer was handy, asked me to sign on to email, and indicated my computer network was hacked.Using Rescue123, he gave me a code with which he said he would be able to show me recent hacker activity. It was a remote access program that allowed him to use my mouse, pull up the name of my computer and show a dos screen of activity back to 2009. He recommended getting all teh computers serviced by Office Depot, or by PC Care Experts. By connecting me to a service rep for PC Care, I was shown their good standing on the Microsoft website, and given a rundown of their services, heading to the credit card part of the pitch. Meanwhile, I am googling pccareexperts scam on my phone, and discovered lots of people with an exact story, right down to the Yahoo phone number that started it all. I started reading it out loud to the rep, an Indian guy named Amit, as I force quit my computer. He hung up on me. I got away, but reported this to Yahoo. Others need to know.
