This was an elaborate story seemingly covered by this website to show it was legit. However, it is a lie and a scam. I had to spend $1 for them to verify my credit card and was given a 7 day free trial period after which I would be charged $69 a month should I fail to cancel the package. I tried canceling the package by looking through their site but had no luck. In the main site, the terms and conditions link as well as the privacy link did not work. I have tried emailing them and was replied with a computer generated response, saying they would get back to me in 48 hours. In the website, I was told to purchase a pcbackup software for $25 to then receive that $25 in my earnings thru their site, which I believe was a lie. Realizing that this was fishy I have done some research to find others suffering the same fate as a result of being cheated and mislead by these scammers. I am still unsure if I have lost $1 or if i will lose $69 after the 7 day period. Any information or feedback would be appreciated.

- You can go to your My Account section in your HCP account and delete your credit card information. I deleted my Paypal account from there, so they couldn't charge me for anything at all.

- i enroll the programe upon reading some successful news. But after read some negative review and that these are actually scams, im worried. I've already wrote in an email to them telling them i want to cancel the programe. will they still charge me $69.95 USD at the end of 7-days trial period? Will calling my credit card bank to stop overseas transaction helps? Please help....

Hi Sam, thanks for your feedback. I guess the $1 was just to authorize the card for payment. I used a debit card to do so and have since contacted my bank. i Have been informed that I may lose the $1 but there is no way for HCP to charge me any further.
Hi Shidah I think it should be okay once you have informed your bank to block any further transactions. I havent been able to check my bank statement as of yet as I am traveling at the moment. Do let me know how you get on and good luck. -

- Hi Nicholas. I was doing my usual oDesk job and stumbled across the same scam that is Home Cash Package. God, this company has become a cliche to me. The first ad that I saw lead me to a page that looks exactly like this http://economicalerts.com/us/indexss.php?&t202id=300269&t202kw=cpa&match=&c3=&ne= except that the date of the blog is changed, and the comments, too, are all the same as the first ones I saw. HCP is really scamming. I want to let everyone know about this. I want to kick their behinds, and have them put to jail. If only I were living in the US.

- Hi Nicholas, thanks for the advice. Yes, i've called my bank and they verify HCP has deducted US$1.00 and to be on the safer side, i've asked my bank to de-activate overseas transaction for fear of recurring $$$. HCP has replied to my request of cancellation from the programme. But still i dont trust them.....
