I received a glossy brochure which looked quite credible claiming that we had won 200000 USD in a scratch ticket. As we had traveled to Asia several times in the past few years it seemed quite possible that our details had been stored in a database of a travel agency. When I tried to redeem my prize I was forwarded on to a a Hong Kong asset management group who asked for details. When they asked me to pay 2700 in Malaysian taxes i started to get nervous. Although i have not paid the money, nor do I intend to, they have some of our personal details and this makes me very uncomfortable...and angry! I would like to know how this can be followed up.
