MOVED TO CORPUS CHRISTI 2007 FROM DALLAS, TEXAS. THE NEAREST GROCERY STORE IS HEB LOCATED AT PORT AND TARLTON STREETS. I HAVE ALREADY CONTACTED THE HEALTH DEPARTMENT REGARDING THE FILTHY CORRODED SHOPPING CARTS THEY PROVIDE FOR THE PUBLIC. IT SEEMS THAT THEY DID REPLACE THEM WITH NEWER ONOCE. THAT WAS 4-6 MONTHS AGO. LAST WEEK WHEN I WENT TO BUY MY GROCERIES THERE WERE NO SHOPPING CARTS AVAILABLE EXCEPT OF A FEW RUST CORRODED ONES AND I REFUSE TO PUT MY FOOD IN THEM. THEY HAVE SLOWLY REVERTED TO THEIR OLD WAYS. THE HEB ON LEOPARD STREET HAS NEVER BEEN REPORTED AND YOU SHOULD SEE THE WHOLE COLLECTION. THIS IS A VIOLATION OF MY HEALATH BECUASE IT CONTAMINATES MY FOOD AND THAT OF OTHERS SPECIALL THE POOR AND THE ELDERLY. I HAVE TAKEN PICTURES OF NASTY CORRODED SHOPPING CARTS IN ALLEYS, DITCHES, NEAR TRASH DUMPSTERS AND WE DON'T EVEN KNOW IF THEY ARE SANITIZED WHEN THEY ARE ROUNDED BACK UP. SOMETHING NEEDS TO SERIOUSLY BE DONE TO PROTECT THE CONSUMER. THERE SHOULD BE A LAW THAT MAKES THESE STORES LIABLE TO SANITIIZE THE SHOPPING CARTS ON A DAILY OR WEEKLY BASIS. First of all, how is your food touching the carts? Most things are packaged, and if they're not, don't you put them in a plastic bag? You're the stupid one if you put raw food next to a corroded cart.
Second, since you're from Dallas, you're not aware of how bad saltwater is on everything metal. Live near the ocean more, and you'll be more aware of how impossible it is to keep carts from corroding. Cars rust out faster, too. It's part of living NEAR THE OCEAN, cupcake. -

- Oh, and if it bothers you so much about the carts having some rust on them, which is inevitable in a place like Corpus Christi, then bring some towels and lay them around the cart before you put things in it.. You can do that, you know.

- Beg your pardon? I was raised here in Corpus all my life. The reason this city hasn't progress in the last 30 years is because of stupid people like you. If you want to put your food in a cart that has been out in some ditch or alley, loaded with contaminated debris then you do it. I would like to see the same filthy carts being used on the South side of town. I don't think they would dare. People on the south side of Corpus Christi might be more educated than the ones on the North side of town who don't care, or don't know better. Get off food stamps and go get an education is what I have to say.God said,"my people perish for lack of knowledge.
