I received a call from a person claiming to be from the legal department for Cash Advance USA. The man's name was supposedly David Parker. He stated we (my husband and I) were being sued for a $300 payday advance loan that we accepted in 2011. He told me to call 347-778-0754 to resolve the issue. When I called the second number I was told I needed to pay $358 today to resolve the loan. I could not understand the man (he spoke in a very thick accent that sounded Middle Eastern...Indian) and asked to speak to a supervisor. The supervisor also spoke with a accent. He was very rude and would not allow me to speak. He stated I needed to pay $358 to resolve the loan today and if we did not pay the money we were going to be sued for over $3000. He said he was going to electronically stamp the information and send it to the courthouse in my county. He also stated they had tried to deduct the money from our checking account on several occasions that were denied for insufficient funds. I was told my husband was going to be arrested at work for check fraud and several other things. After trying to argue with this man for 15 minutes I finally hung on him. Please be advised that Cash Advance USA is a total scam. Please do not give them money. When they call give them a phone number ( just make one up) and tell them to talk to your attorney.
