We purchased a World Luxury Destinations Membership in May 2012 at the Mango's Restaurant in Puerto Vallarta. So far not much has gone right.

1. We were promised two free flights to Mexico for the following year. (As it turns out, these 'free' flights were more expensive then the ones we could get on Kayak).

2. We were promised the sale of our existing time share. We got wild promises of huge amounts of money for both time share sales and rental of our WLD time share when we arrived back home, but every contract had 'fees' attached which needed to be paid first. I insisted the 'fees' come out of the moneys from the 'sales'. As a result, nothing came of the promise to sell anything. From what I read on this site, I at least save myself the 'fees'.

3. I just got a call from Oscar Prudensio who claimed to be a government lawyer who would get us all of our money back...only thing was I needed to pay a $900 fee first. Funny thing was I never received any litigation forms to sign, and the phone call was cut off mid-stream. I'm thinking this is another attempt at a scam. I did a search for the name 'Oscar Prudensio' and lo and behold, came upon a family facebook picture. Looks like Oscar Prudensio's mom and dad with Oscar. Funny thing is that the young 'Oscar Prudensio' in the picture is the same guy who was the 'boss' at the Mango's restaurant back in May. Then he called himself Oscar Castilles. Looks like he now took his father's name.

4. We've been trying to book a vacation through WLD for next year in Puerto Vallarta. No luck so far. I'm curious to see if the price will be the $259 per week we were promised. And even if it is, and even if I pay it, I seriously doubt that there will be an actual reservation fo us when we come to Mexico. I doubt it.

Hard lessons to learn.
