I purchased my new Ford Focus (SM11EJZ) in June 2011 and was delighted with the car and the sales rep, which I reflected in the questionaire form I completed.

Since my car was service in June 2012, I noticed that the paint on the F/O/S passenger door was fading, the inside mud guard to the f/n/s wheel arch was loose. Lastly the bumper faring to the r/o/s wheel arch had came loose and was protruding.
As a result I contacted my supplier and they agreed to inspect the faults and I was given a hire car.
When I went to collect my car I was informed that the paint was faded and they believed that a substance had been spilt on the car and a good t-cut would rectify the problem. Ford would not carry out the repair as it was out of the year warranty.
The bumper would not be fixed as my car had been struck from behind and to top that, I was advised that I must have driven over a speed bump at speed and therefore the mud guard became dislodged from it clip.

I was then handed an envelope for what it would cost for your company to make good the faults. To say that I was seething was an understatement.

I personally look after my car and it is always garaged overnight. I always park my car away from other vehicles in car parks to prevent unnecessary scrapes or shunts and NEVER drive over speed bumps at speed as I know what damaged they can cause to vehicles.

Considering the faults to my car are minimal the repairs to a skilled tradesman would have been easily fixed.

I was intending on discussing purchasing a new/newer car for my wife in the next few months, however sadly this will not be the case.

I am really disgusted in the way I have been treated by your company and in the next day or so I will be cancelling the direct debit for the service plan agreement.
